Ongoing Activities

What is the IEA Hydropower Agreement doing in Phase 3
(2005-2009)?

While it is clear that the work accomplished in Phase 2 has been of tremendous value to the hydropower industry, it is just as clear that much more needs to be done to address the issues which continue to face the industry in relation to the socially responsible development and operation of hydropower projects.  To fulfil its Vision for Phase 3 of the Implementing Agreement, the Executive Committee is considering the following initiatives, through the continuation of existing Annexes, and the creation of new Annexes. The Executive Committee, may, at any point, choose to pursue either additional or different initiatives, or may modify the initiatives presented here.
